Stage fright.
Stage fright can be defined as a sudden fear that incapacitates an individual who is about to give a talk or perform a task before an audience. It is a negative emotional experience in anticipation of failure during the performance of a task before a large group of people. It usually happens to person(s) who is about to perform a task before an audience for the first time. This emotional experience varies in intensity from a person to another. In some people it can manifest itself as a rushing sweat, in others it can be banging knees, heavy legs and shivering arms in others. One thing that is common to all is that it is overcome over time and practice.
However, there are differences between overcoming stage fright and sleek presentation. A person may not feel any form of fear before or during a presentation and still won't give perfect presentation at expert's judgments.
Tidbits by which we can overcome stage fright:
(1) understand your presentation thoroughly;
(2) practice the task several times before the actual events;
(3) practice, if possible, at the location of the actual event;
(4) visualize yourself preforming the task successfully and receiving accolades as a result of the success of the presentation;
(5) pray to God for a successful presentation;
(6) read books, watch videos of similar presentations;
(7) after you have completed all these preparatory tasks, launch, get on the stage and give that excellent presentation, never allow any fear to stop the world from benefiting from that rich treasure God has deposited in you.
Stage fright can hinder success at critical moments. Hence it is beneficial to prevent it.
