The manager's arsenal.

The manager is the one who directs, instructs and see to the success of any goal in an organization. He is a leader / member of the management team. One of the basic function of the management team is managing the social impacts and the social responsibilities of the enterprise - Peter Drucker. But to achieve all the essence of the management, the manager must be organized and take care of himself. One of the vital tools by which he can achieve that is by managing his time well. This is because no matter how gifted and talented team members may be, inappropriate use of time may jeopardize all efforts.
Here are some nuggets about time management that may be of help:
1) The manager must be adept at managing his time before he can transfer that attribute to his team;
2) He must always ask this question: what is the best use of my time right now;
3) Time must be seen as a non renewable resources which it is;
4) High priority projects must be allocated appropriate time;
5) Reoccurring project(s) must be well planned such as to cut down the allocated time for its successful accomplishment;
6)Number of commette members handling a particular project must be optimized;
7) Time is more important than money - Jim Rohn, hence the manager should be guided when deliberating on outsourcing;
8) Time accrued from all the efforts above and other means must be well utilized. 
According to Brian Tracy, time is one of the most valuable tools in achieving a goal hence must be invested and not spent or wasted.
